ICC charges of Geonocide against Sudanese President

Charges of Geonocide have been brought against Sudanese President Umar Hassan Ahmad al-BASHIR in the International Criminal Court (ICC).

This is the first time charges of Geonocide have been brought on a sitting President.

Sudanese officials say they do not recognize the ICC, this is also a position the U.S. has taken.

Conerns are that if the indictment sticks it will effectively shut down the country and humanitarian efforts.

It's a landmark case that will put the authority of the ICC to the test, it's also the first time any effort has been made by the international community to do anything about the problem, a murderous dictator.

Sudan is oil rich and China has very close ties to them.
