There is a large debt attached to Hillary's campaign, and some 12 million dollars of it is debt to herself. Obama has, since unity, put distance between the two factions and some die hard Hillary supporters have put the irons to Obama and begun giving money to McCains campaign.
The Obama campaign's basic strategy is hope. Sounds good but as things slide down hill faster each day and the election approaches people are going to want to see more. Hope can only get you so far.
While there are other good candidates they are in many ways wild cards. Hillary is probably the most reported about politician of our age, everyone knows what we're getting with her, and in big part that's the political savvy some feel Obama doesn't yet have. Hillary knows the game and she knows the field. We also know what happens when you piss her off.
